President Muhammadu Buhari and governors of the All Progressives Congress are currently meeting at the Aso rock presidential villa, Abuja.
Present at the meeting are governors of Imo, Adamawa, Plateau, Kogi, Kaduna, Edo, Ogun, Kano, Kebbi and Benue states.
Issues up for deliberation include the ambassadorial appointments.
Attendees are likely going to discuss the rifts within the party, particularly the ongoing animosity between Bola Tinubu, national leader of the party, and John Odigie-Oyegun, the chairman.
A week ago, Aisha Buhari, had in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) accused her husband of neglecting party loyalists who campaigned vigorously for him.
Aisha implied that APC members were aggrieved as they better understood how to implement the change Buhari promised, yet they were being denied the opportunity.
Okorocha, one of the governors in attendance, had buttressed Aisha’s utterances, saying “some APC members feel they are not carried along”.
