Breaking: Reuben Abati arrested by EFCC
PREMIUM TIMES is reporting that Dr. Reuben Abati, the spokesman of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Abati, a prominent columnist, was said to still be with the operatives of the EFCC as at press time on Monday.
Calls to his mobile telephone number by The Eagle Online was unanswered as at press time.
So also was a text message to him yet to be replied as at press time.
Abati is one of the numerous persons in the administration of Jonathan who has been questioned by the EFCC.
Most of those questioned were in relation to the funds released by the Office of the National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, who has been in detention since December 2015.
The spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, was picked up again by the EFCC last Friday.
